Island Mas was formed in 2014 by a group of passionate individuals that had the desire to bring back the true sentiments of Island Carnival and introduce it to the participants of Notting Hill Carnival. Amongst the team combined there are years of experience within Carnival Arts and we are committed to evoking the originality back into carnival just like we experience in the Caribbean by reliving our culture of carnival and "Playing Ah Mas” As the name suggests Island Mas promises to provide a more authentic island carnival experience with: Island Fun! Island Laughs! Island Food! Island Drink! Island Music! Island Costumes! Island Vibes! Island Energy! ISLAND MAS! Island Mas will experience its first year on the road at Notting Hill Carnival in 2015, with one of the best designers already producing fabulous costumes for the year ahead.
