The Transporter is a welcome upgrade, I have almost managed to fill it ... Almost :-)
The business has diversified and then the insurance company rings and I find I need to reinsure myself for every possible event bar a nuclear explosion! Better safe than sorry :-|
The north wind doth blow and Jonnie and I are in for a drenching next week. :-)
Holiday time is over :-/ It's nice to be fully booked up till September :-) The current mystery is isolating the fire/smoke alarm system in a large Plymouth rooming house.... You would not believe how hidden a safety system electric supply switch board is ....
Big week 1 over Big week 2 starts on Monday :-)
Pleased to say that the diary is full for next week. I may leave the loft boarding job till it's a bit cooler though ...
Getting ready for another busy week. Laminate flooring, rented rooms general repairs and a big garden restoration.
Todays job has been repairing & painting an outside door. It blew off in the storms. Some new wood, bolts and a coat of paint and its as good as new. A tall breeze block wall also fell down so, I have rebuilt that and fixed the fire escape.... the business courtyard was like a bake house in the sun but, at least the paint dried before the evening showers. :-)
What a busy few weeks coming up. The business flyer campaign is paying off now :-)
Quoting for a big job in town tomorrow morning. Got to get the maths right.... No pressure :-)
Lots of garden work. Its a busy time of year :-)
This week is a painting & decorating week. Some fencing and a shed to treat if we have some dry days. Big 'if' judging by the weather forecast .....
Another morning up a ladder basking in the sunshine :-)
Another job getting rid of perching pigeons. Anyone want a bucket of guano?
I have been busy pigeon / seagull proofing upstairs window sills and repairing gutter leaks in Mutley.
This weeks project, the new wooden fence, has been completed a bit early. You can get on in the sun... I'll say one thing for Wickes that refunds are given without any fuss.
Monday & Tuesdays job has been finishing off a kitchen with a new built in dishwasher,re grouting tiles, fitting new kick boards and end panels. Looks a lot better now :-)
A morning spent leak hunting today. The bottom of the tap was slowly dripping water. What a mess and so much damage in the kitchen in a young couples very nice terrace house....
My website is www. jreadpropertyservices.com.
I have had several enquiries about repairing guttering... which would be fine if it wasn't from a ladder on a 3 storey property. Scaffolding needed at that height.
Today's activity was repairing a storm damaged shed. New floor, roof and lots of fixes to straighten the frame.... I think it may have been easier to install a new shed...
Today has been a chain link and bamboo screening fences day. Nice to be out in the sun :-)
