Corporate History In August 2004, J. Roberts & Co. was established to take advantage of the explosive growth in opportunities for real estate investment in Southwest Florida. The company's headquarters was established in Fort Myers, Florida — in the heart of Lee County. In mid-2005 the company expanded its operations to Tampa, Florida and Scottsdale, Arizona. By the end of the following year J. Roberts & Co. had opened its fourth office location in New York City, and in early 2006 its fifth and most recent office addition opened in Ocala, Florida. Though the unforeseen challenges in the real estate market J. Roberts was consolidated down to its flag ship office in Fort Myers Florida. Currently focusing on REO disposition and helping both end users and investors take advantage of resetting home values Property Specialists Founded by Jeremy Robert Sposato (hence the “J. Robert”) the company was originally affiliated with a consortium of entities dedicated to providing real estate, finance and construction services to a large and diverse investor clientele. In 2006, the company identified several peripheral benefits of the investment transactions that facilitated the entry into the general real estate genre. The primary benefit was the real estate listing inventory yielded from the investment work. This inventory was utilized to fuel the company’s expansion into the general real estate market. Currently, J. Roberts & Co. has refocused its efforts on its original branch in Fort Myers, adding daily to the several thousand closed transactions over its tenure. Additionally, in efforts to consolidate the processes in real estate transactions, the company has spun off a title company, creating a more streamlined and facilitated portfolio of services for both investors, REO asset manager partners and general real estate clients.
