I work in the methods in Person –Centered therapy ( founder Carl Rogers) as I believe we are all individuals and with the right conditions and a good counsellor, we can all move toward a process of wholeness. Sometimes we get bruised and badly treated by other individuals that leave us less than whole. Then we seek someone to look at what is happening to us and listen to us. Counselling is a personal experience when we need to talk to a professional therapist /counsellor about what is going on in our lives when our friends, family and loved ones cannot offer us the help and support that we need. The counselling is a process. Firstly I will invite you to an initial consultation that lasts 30–40 minutes where we talk through about how I work, payment, sessions, what to expect from me. You will normally pay £10-£20 for this session and you do not have to commit to counselling at this stage. I also assure you that you have to visit a few therapists (shop around and compare) in order for you to make an informed decision that feels right for you. As counselling is a personal thing for you, it is very important that you do not feel under any pressure to give me final answers at this session.
