Description
The Speech & Hearing Center was founded in 1949 as one of the first speech and hearing centers to serve children in Northeast Florida. In 1948, there were no services in the Jacksonville area for children with hearing or speech problems, although hearing, speaking and understanding the spoken language are essential components to a child's growth and development. Over the past 60 years, the Center has provided professional, compassionate care to literally thousands of children and adults on the First Coast, providing them with the necessary communication tools to live a more fulfilling and productive life.

We screen, diagnose and treat hearing, speech and language disorders. We evaluate, fit and dispense state-of-the-art hearing aids. We provide innovative tinnitus and hyperacusis services, including Tinnitus Retraining Therapy (TRT).Company Rating

By participating in workshops and technical lessons, the girls become empowered by their newfound abilities, self-awareness, and sense of belonging. Led by positive female role models, the girls are exposed to the possibilities and benefits afforded to them through the enjoyment of music making and performing with their peers.
