In 1938, Milford N. "Jake" Jacobs opened his first auto parts and automotive equipment store in San Antonio Texas. A few years later, that one store grew into a warehouse distributor that has catered to several hundred auto parts stores and machine shops over the years. In 1979, Jacobs Equipment became a 100% equipment and shop supply distributor which served these same customers and dealers with preferred name brand lines. Today, Jacobs Equipment Distributing Company has grown into one of the largest automotive equipment distributors in Texas. Under new owner Gary Garcia's leadership, we now have over 60 name brand lines and a large inventory of new and used equipment.
