Portland Timbers fan, MLS subscriber, and lover of all things World Cup, Jake Plantonis the soccer and European Football enthusiast of our group. Having played soccer on Varsity teams throughout high school, Jake used his knowledge and spent his summers’ reffing soccer games for younger players. Born and raised in Oregon, Jake knows his stuff when it comes to Portland. Jake is known around town as the creator and coordinator of the Next Level Networking group. Designed to help local business owners and people of all occupations meet other professionals, the group is four years successful! Having studied communications and media in college, Jake has also appeared on local television a couple of times discussing financing for home seekers interested in Oregon and Washington. Jake was recognized as Employee of the Year for 2010! Jake believes in being fluent in the entire financial market, not just home loans. Because the financial market of the world directly affects his customers, he tries to follow everything happening through various media outlets. An avid user of Twitter, Facebook, and other online spheres, he is definitely the social media expert of the office. At their home in Tigard, Jake and his partner have a Yorkshire Terrier named Dante, and a rambunctious Bengal cat named Rameses. A lover of dance music, entertaining friends, vacations to Hawaii, and camping throughout the summer, Jake doesn’t let Northwest rain stop him from activity. In later summer, he volunteers and organizes the Cascade AIDS Project AIDS Walk in September for the entire office, raising thousands of dollars in donations and strengthening awareness about the issue. Jake has a relaxed demeanor, but he’s all business when it comes to helping his clients find the right home financing. Jake’s previous experience was at a national lending bank, until 2006 when he moved to Rose City Mortgage. “I chose Rose City because it had everything I wanted; honesty, sustainability, and reliability.” Purchasing a home is a big commitment, and Jake appreciates that about each transaction with every homebuyer. “I will make sure that everyone knows that is going on in a transaction at all times.
