With a career spanning 18 years, James Phillips has established himself as one of the most sought-after hair stylists in Houston. After spending seven years at Azur Salon, serving as a style director and as the salon’s color trainer, he recently moved to the prestigious Q The Salon. James believes that being a stylist involves much more than giving a great cut and color. The connections James makes with his clients enable him to bring out their true beauty. James’ gift of communication and being able to understand his clients’ needs allow him to deliver a superior customer service experience, whether it is their first time in his chair, or their 100th. A Houston native, James Phillips has trained at internationally acclaimed facilities including Bumble and Bumble of New York, Fred Segal Beauty of Los Angeles, the Aveda Institute in New York, and recently, with Ted Gibson in Fort Lauderdale. James works with an extraordinary support staff at Q The Salon, and he is proud of their team approach towards styling.
