If the dance scenes in "Chicago", "Cabaret" and "All That Jazz" give you goosebumps and have you begging for more of those flashy costumes, sleek gloves and even sleeker moves, then look no further than ~*Bonnie Woodborne's JaZZ HoT Academy of Dance*~ Although the Academy was established in 2001, it was only in 2003 that I was inspired to introduce a style that had hitherto dominated American Broadway and the silver screen; a style that was sophisticated, instantly recognizable among the cognoscenti, and fresh in its approach to expression through movement. That style, of course, was none other than that of legendary director/choreographer/dancer, BOB FOSSE I have continued experimenting with and perfecting this unique and highly-watchable style , incorporating it into my repetoire of CONTEMPORARY JAZZ, LYRICAL , MUSICAL THEATRE LIP SYNC and MODERN DANCE and producing a well-balanced equilibrium between the old and the new ( more recently, I have explored the works of the fabulous and inspiring WADE ROBSON)that is well received at competitions year-round. I have recently added a Showdance class to the curriculum which is aimed at those who love to dance, but have no actual training in any dance discipline. Its fun, expressive and for those who find a desire to dance in the later years, This group is open to pupils of the Academy and general supporters of dance
