Description

Jellybeans Childcare offers a home-from-home style environment whilst benefitting from the experience of working in several nursery/ foundation stage settings. I live at home with my son, Thomas who is two years old, and my husband who is a local bus driver. The house is situated in a great area for learning and exploration! We have four parks within walking distance and are a short bus ride from Noddle Hill Nature Reserve. We are also close to many bus routes and the retail park so children have a lot of opportunities for learning about daily life. I follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum (EYFS) and the setting allows great opportunities for child-led play and exploration. We will often be outside in all weathers as we aim to get out and about as often as possible. After working for the last 4 years as a teacher I have plenty of experience of working with children and parents as individuals and tailoring experiences to suit your child's needs. We attend lots of different classes and groups in the area depending on the children's ages and interests, so for example your child might spend one afternoon at a sensory class experiencing messy play (without you having plenty to clean up!), and the next morning at the library, role-playing and engaging in crafts and story-telling sessions. We visit places in the local area, including the Deep, Transport museum, nature reserves and soft play to ensure the children engage in a wide range of activities. But these activities are only a brief example; perhaps the biggest benefit of choosing a good childminder is that every activity is developed with YOUR child in mind to suit their interests and learning needs. You also receive great updates and photos so you can see how your child is growing and settling in.
