Description

Jersey Toastmasters Club is a member of Toastmaster International, the largest and most successful organization of its type in the world. Toastmasters provide opportunities to develop skills through Club and District Leadership roles and training. The mission of a Toastmaster Club is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every individual member has the opportunity to develop oral communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and personal growth.

Jersey Toastmasters Club was chartered in July 26, 1996. Its original members were Filipino immigrants, mostly residing in Jersey City, who shared a common goal of improving their communication skills. Since then, the club's membership has evolved into a relatively diverse group in the community. The club continues to endeavor to include an even wider diversity in its membership.
