VISION - Jewish Child and Family Service strives to be the place in the community, where all voices are heard and needs are realized. MISSION - Strengthening lives in keeping with Jewish Values. JCFS is a social service agency in Winnipeg, MB, which offers a wide range of specialized services including individual (adult and child), marriage and family counselling; support services to older adults; community mental health, provincially mandated child welfare services including adoption services, newcomer settlement and integration and employment supports, chaplaincy, information and referral, emergency financial aid and a volunteer support program. Services are delivered in keeping with Jewish values to support and enhance the lives of its clients who are, but not exclusively, members of Winnipeg’s Jewish Community.

Jewish Child and Family Service acts as the social service arm of the Winnipeg Jewish community, providing a wide range of services designed to strengthen families and connect individuals to our community and to each other. It is the place in our community to which individuals and families can turn when they are facing challenging circumstances in their lives. The principal objectives and purposes of JCFS are: • to provide services which will strengthen, support and enhance the lives of families and individuals, who are, primarily, though not exclusively, the Jewish people of Winnipeg; • to maintain in its service delivery the philosophy of traditional Jewish values while at the same time recognizing the pluralistic Jewish community, for the express purpose of strengthening Jewish identity, Jewish commitment and the quality of Jewish life; • to provide holistic, professional services and programs to the most vulnerable and at-risk population in our community; • to educate with respect to the most current and salient social issues facing the Jewish community; • to respond to dynamic social changes and challenging issues within the community.Company Rating
