Dr. Carnahan emphasizes an integrative and functional approach to wellness, creating hope, health and healing through the therapeutic relationship between physician and patient. She seeks to give her patients a full range of healing options with an emphasis on healthy living, nutrition, disease prevention. Dr. Carnahan is board certified in both Family Medicine and Integrative Holistic Medicine. She has also completed additional certification in Functional Medicine. Functional medicine is personalized medicine that deals with primary prevention and underlying causes instead of just symptoms for serious chronic disease. It is the new personalized, individual medicine focusing on the genetic and chemical uniqueness of each person. Dr Jill lives in Broomfield, Colorado and recently opened her practice, Flatiron Functional Medicine, in Boulder working with Dr. Robert Rountree, MD. She was previously founder and Medical Director of the Methodist Center for Integrative Medicine in Peoria, Illinois. She completed her residency at the University of Illinois and received her medical degree from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago and her Bachelor of Science degree in Bio-Engineering at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana.
