The John Arcand Fiddle Fest became a registered non-profit organization in 2001. We are non-membership based and governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. We operate with the equivalent of one full-time staff member and approximately 40 volunteers. We are a grassroots festival that focuses on affordable family fun. Designed to promote and preserve; fiddle, music and dance with a strong Metis Theme running throughout. Featuring a great variety of workshops, concerts, old time dances, shows and competitions. Designed for people who love fiddle and old time music and getting together with others that enjoy them too! Providing homes for those in need. The Lighthouse is a non-profit organization providing emergency shelter, as well as transitional and long term housing. The Lighthouse serves a variety of clientele including those with mental health disorders, chronic addiction, FASD,acquired brain injury, physical, intellectual and cognitive disabilities, transitioning youth and low-income seniors. Our goal is to end homelessness in Saskatoon.
