This last week has been a whirl of activity with daughter Debbie and granddaughter Savannah visiting from California. This past month has been a busy one at the computer, finishing up with a client and revamping my business. Along with many other changes, I've added Policies and a Client Worksheet to the website.

Yay--Adriene Wentworth's brand new Weebly website went live last night so her Christa Resources has a fresh new home. That's two websites birthed it less than a week! Only been working on this one since last December. Anyway, check it out and let me know what you think! www.christaresources.com

February was a cold and rather miserable month weather-wise, with an occasional promise of spring. I'm maintaining client's websites, one of my passions. Travel season is gearing up once again and have reservations made for a three-week road trip in May. I'll be sleeping in my van the whole trip and traveling in four states. I'm excited to stay three nights in the area the of the photo in the above header. Look forward to taking more lovely pics all along the way.

What fun! A new client and I have been working together on building her a website for her business. Feels good to get back in the swing again. Love this stuff!

I've been so busy with my artwork that I haven't posted on this page in a while. I regularly update my current clients websites, and am traveling with RVing Women. Busy season! Have a couple of new clients coming in the fall when their life settles and schedules return to normal.

Yesterday I decided to try yet another Weebly template and this time I used the subject of Mermaids. That was fun, but ohhh these free templates are soooo limited! Very frustrating after using DivTags. I think this may be the last one of these templates I bother with, unless they offer something with more variety. Even so, check out www.creativeweb-3.weebly.com. Today I did a bit of research on carousels because I've loved them since I was a child and still find them enchanting. Collected a few delightful images, but I think it would be fun to study their history and put together an informative site on the subject. That would take time and a lot of work so we'll see. Maybe a good project for bad weather and between clients.

Another busy day at the keyboard. Created a really fun site full of artistic food art. Stop by if you have time. I'm playing around with a free Weebly template, trying to make it look more professional. www.creativeweb-7.weebly.com

Thank you all for "Liking" my page--I now have enough to keep FB happy and get my statistics! :)

While I'm waiting on clients to get their stuff together, I've been playing around with a prototype. Used photos of downtown Colorado Springs. Most of the copy is just fill words, but this prototype is to demonstrate how a template works. Take a look at www.templatestudy.weebly.com

Merry Christmas! Oh my, I've been so busy with the business that I've neglected this FB page! At least I've done a better job with the blog on joyfuldia.com. Currently working on a large project for a client and will share the address when completed.

So two areas of good news: the first is I received an email from my instructor in web design class with "a job well done." The second is I finally conquered WordPress and built another site. This one is at joyfuldia.org. The way I'm going it won't be long before I run out of .endings for joyfuldia. Anyway, I now have three Joyfuldia Consulting websites, all built on different platforms, but look as much alike as I could get them with the tools I had. They are linked together so if you find one you can find the others. Plans are to continue building further WordPress sites with a variety of templates, but with different designs that the current three. This has been such a busy summer -- and it's not over yet! How I love this stuff.

What have I been up to? Homework! Our last assignment in web design class is to create a website from the ground up using code. No templates. We have just one more week before the summer session ends. Sooo, I decided to model it, joyfuldia.net after this, my main website: joyfuldia.com. Uploaded it a little while ago and, smile. It isn't exactly the same, but has the same feel. At this point two of the buttons don't work, but I'll have that figured out next week. This is a milestone for me. I learned, however, that it isn't always necessary to reinvent the wheel. I still like using templates. But, at least I know what's under the hood and how to do a few repairs and customizations.

Spent last night setting up a PayPal shopping cart on a client's website. Never had the opportunity before. Lots of fun once I got the hang of it--and lo and behold--it works!
