JP Dynasty was formally formed in 1998, but has really existed since the four of us were born.The four brothers that make up JP Dynasty all have a J in their name (Wakeso's middle name is B'Dafla Jamal, and all the other brothers first names start with J). JP Dynasty has had many faces. When the group originally started we were solely dancing and miming. Our father, however, is a master drummer and we grew up playing traditional African drums. After receiving a request to do a drumming performance the group branched out into drumming as well. We have developed into one of the premier African drum groups in the state. Similarly, the brothers have ventured into photography and deejaying as well.
