Jubilee Food Bank offers immediate support to those in financial crisis by providing short-term emergency food supplies at no cost to individuals and families, through referrals from health and social care professionals.

Our vision is to provide practical help for families and vulnerable people who can’t afford – for a variety of reasons – to feed themselves. We aim to work with professionals in the health, social care and other voluntary-sector settings to ensure that the wider issues affecting our clients are being addressed too – for example, so that they receive budgeting advice or get the right benefits and tax credits. Most of the team at Jubilee Food Bank are volunteers – giving freely of their time and resources to collect, sort and distribute donated food items to the most vulnerable. Each volunteer is trained and mentored to ensure that their work contributes to the provision of a high-quality service. If the volunteer has any regular or unsupervised interaction with Food Bank clients, they are also CRB checked. Jubilee Food Bank is a social action project brought to you by City Church Sheffield. As Christians, we believe that God speaks to us through his Word, the Bible. The Bible encourages us to reach out to those who are on the edge of society, and gives us examples of people living out their faith in that way too. Jubilee Food Bank is just one way for us to do that.
