Description

Juhmad is a native of Birmingham. His passion for real estate was ignited early while watching his father, Joseph M. Hollis, who helped expand the reach of Copeland, Hollis, and Fisher Realty during the 80s. At an early age, Juhmad was a regular around his dad’s office, which allowed him to watch the daily activities of one of the largest, most successful minority owned real estate firms in Birmingham at the time. Juhmad regularly assisted his dad throughout his childhood, which led to his aspiration to learn the real estate industry from the inside out, starting with earning his home inspector's certification in 2003, in which he performed several inspections until receiving his real estate license in 2004, and finally becoming a broker in 2007. In mid to late 2012, during a period of his father’s sudden illness and untimely passing in December, he became President/CEO of Sil-loH Properties, LLC. His sister, Rolanda Hollis-Jefferson now leads that organization, and his brother J. Matthew Hollis manages the day-to-day operations. Juhmad remains supportive in community work associated with his family’s firm. Since becoming a REALTOR®, Juhmad has maintained his professional career by serving his clients as well as his colleagues in the industry by being active with the local and state REALTOR® Associations. He has served on multiple committees and currently holds a seat on the Alabama Association of REALTORS® Board of Directors and the Birmingham Association of REALTORS® Board of Directors. Also, beginning in 2016 he will become Secretary of the Greater Alabama Multiple Listing Service. Juhmad is thrilled to be a part of Brik Realty and sees this position of Broker as a great opportunity to help mentor and support valuable work of this company’s REALTORS®. He also remains a champion of the Birmingham metropolitan region and is passionate about helping to make the region a destination for a new generation of homeowners. Juhmad is active in Alabama’s civic and professional life. As Broker, perhaps his best skills are his healthy balance of competitiveness and humility—honed by his love of Iron Tribe Fitness and dedication to his church family at Living Stones Temple.
