Guest House ”KAMP” in Okayama - since May 2014- KAMP（キャンプ）とは、2010年より開催されている、アウトドアイベント「牛窓ナチュラルキャンプ」から派生した新企画です。年に一度、瀬戸内市牛窓町の無人島で開催されてきた同イベントに参加してくれた様々なアーティストやお客様との出会いを、「点」で終わらせず、年間を通じ拡がりを持たせる「場」として、KAMP（キャンプ）は誕生します。 KAMP（キャンプ）は、JR岡山駅の西口すぐ「奉還町商店街」のなかほどの路地裏にあるビルをリノベーションしてつくられる、ホステルです。国内外を問わず各地を旅するバックパッカーが気軽に立ち寄り、集える場をつくります。軽い食事やお酒を楽しめるカフェラウンジ、アウトドアグッズを中心にセレクトしたショップも併設します。 KAMP（キャンプ）では、様々なジャンルの作家・アーティストの作品を扱う、ポップアップショップやトークショウ、ワークショップを定期的に企画しますまた、ナチュラルサウンドのライブ・DJイベントも、実施していきます。「KAMP」の、「キャンプ」に込めた思いは仲間や同志といったニュアンス。そうした人との出会いを大切に、てづくりで、心地よい空間に育てていきたいと考えます。KAMPは、その夢の実現に向け、各方面で活躍する個性豊かなメンバーに支えられています。 2014年5月、岡山市奉還町に新しいシーンが誕生します、是非ご期待下さい。 -What's about ”KAMP”-This is a new project spinned off from Ushimado Natural Camp (UNC), our outdoor event since 2010.UNC is organized once a year at Kuro-shima, desert island in Ushimado Setouchi City. Many artists and people have joined this event, but the encounter was temporary like ”Dots”.KAMP will be born as a ”Field”, where to connect people and create innovation throughout the year.　 -”KAMP is...”-A hostel, a renovated old building placed at alleyway of 'Houkan-cho Shopping Arcade', near the west entrance of JR Okayama stasion.It will be the casual spot for backpackers, no matter if they travel around Japan or around the world.Also sets up cafe & lounge for snacks and alcohol, and a select shop for outdoor goods. -at KAMP-We're planning regular workshops, talk lives and pop-up shops which deal various works made by artists in various genre.Lives and DJ events of natural sounds will be organized.We put a nuance of company and ”the same camp” to the name ”KAMP”.We hope to create a handmade, comfortable place for all the people who visit here, treasuring every encounter.KAMP is supported by unique members, active in each fields to make their dreams come true.
