KORT is providing food, shelter, clothing, medical care and education for 250 orphans in Kashmir who were orphaned by the earthquake of 2005. KORT has built an educational complex and hostel in Kashmir which will provide all the above amenities. Like most other individuals, we started as a group of friends providing as much aid as possible. In addition to providing general aid, we began collecting financial aid and within five days had collected over £100,000. With this money we bought 300 tents, food, blankets, quilts, medicine and other aid. We then personally flew out to Pakistan and managed to organise eleven trucks to distribute the aid around the worst hit areas of Kashmir. To ensure aid was distributed equally and fairly we helped to distribute it, to the people that needed it the most.
This page is dedicated to the KORT head office in the United Kingdom. KORT provides childcare services in Azad Kashmir. It is our aim that by Feb 2018 to construct a hostel which will be able to house 1000 orphans, and other facilities so that we can take on further responsibilities. Through education, good nutrition and consistent care, we will help our children be healthier, succeed in life and participate more in society.
