Well, after two days on incredible auditions we have a cast for Extremities! First, we want to thank everyone who came out to audition. You were all wonderful! We could have cast the show at least twice with the tremendous talent that we saw! Now, drum-roll please..... Our Cast: Leah Fincher, Hillary Morris, Jennifer Whitcomb-Oliva, and David Bennett!
Friends and Family, our company, KB Productions has joined with the Nashville Sexual Assault Center and Leah Fincher and Elizabeth Williams to produce 'Extremities' as a part of Sexual Assault Awareness Month in April and as a Fundraiser for NSAC. While KB Productions chooses a beneficiary sponsor each season to recieve 10% of our proceeds, this project is different. KB Productions is excited to announce that we are co-producing ‘Extremities’ with the Nashville Sexual Assault Center (NSAC)! Show Dates are April 3rd, 4th, 5th, 10th, 11th, and 12th at the Darkhorse Theatre, 4610 Charlotte Pike, Nashville. Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30pm, Sundays at 2pm. Directed by Elizabeth Williams. April is Sexual Assault Awareness month, and all proceeds made after paying the Darkhorse will go to Nashville Sexual Assault Center! The lobby will host art made by survivors, several performances will have talk-backs from the SAC counselors, and we have an indigogo that will launch on February 1st! SYNOPSIS: A young woman, Marjorie, is attacked in her home by a would-be rapist, Raul, and manages to turn the tables on him, tying him up in her fireplace. Her roommates come home to discover the attacker bound with cords, belts and other household items. Terry and Patricia, the roommates, express different points of view about rape in society, and are also turned on each other at various points in the play, due to Raul's knowledge of each of them through stalking them. AUDITIONS: Will be held 1/31/15 from 1pm-4pm and 2/1/15 from 6pm-9pm at Hamilton United Methodist Church, 3105 Hamilton Church Rd, Antioch. You will be contacted within a week after auditions. CHARACTERS: -Marjorie- Female, age 20s-30s. A survivor of an attempted rape, she is in the aftermath of her attack, to ensure justice will be done, she ties her assailant up in the fireplace and promises to kill him. -Raul- Male, age 20s-40s (Hispanic ethnicity is good, but not required) The attempted rapist, a terrifyingly clever stalker, he takes control by being charming as well as intimidating. -Terry- Female, age 20s. Marjorie’s roommate, sweet and funny, suffers from her own past, causing her to be very conflicted as to how Marjorie should handle Raul. -Patricia- Female, age mid 20s-mid 30s. Marjorie other roommate, she is confident, a bit more mature, and believes that the legal system will come through for Marjorie, as it is implied she has education and/or works around law enforcement. Cold Readings will be available, no monologue required. Headshots and resumes welcome, but not required. Please know or bring your schedule from February- April 2015.
