Kensington Aldridge Academy is a brand new school in North Kensington which opened in September 2014 with a year seven intake only. First entry into the Sixth Form will be from September 2016. The academy delivers an outstanding education for all its students and aspires to the very highest standards in every aspect of its provision. We have a rare opportunity to open a new school in fantastic facilities and we aim to make the most of it. Our goal is for all our students to grow into confident, articulate young people, equipped with the skills, knowledge and qualifications they need to go on to university or the career of their choice. We offer a full curriculum of GCSE and A-Level subjects, promoting excellence in mathematics, English, science, humanities and languages. We specialise in performance and creative arts, and offer our students expert teaching of music, drama, art and design, providing them with access to first class facilities, including our theatre and visual arts studios. We also focus on developing entrepreneurial qualities. Lessons will encourage students to develop skills such as problem-solving, creativity, and collaboration that will help them succeed both at university or in their future workplace. The academy is sponsored by education charity the Aldridge Foundation, who also sponsor four other academies in England, and is co-sponsored by RBKC. The Educational Advisory Partners for the school include the two independent schools Charterhouse and Godolphin & Latimer, and our arts partners LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) and the Royal Academy of Dance. The academy is non-selective and follows the standard admissions policy of RBKC. This means that places are allocated according to proximity to the academy.
