Position: Contract Closeout Specialist Location: Fort Belvoir, Virginia Summary of Position Kent, Campa and Kate Inc. (KCK) is a federal contracting company that provides professional services to government agencies. We are currently looking for a Veteran, Family Member or qualified candidate to fill a Contract Closeout Specialist supporting the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. Position Description • Candidate will provide onsite general acquisition support primarily in contract closeout. Great position for a Veteran looking to start or build on their skills in the acquisition community. • Perform closeouts of simplified acquisitions and various contract types. • Review, prepare and submit closeout documents. • Input information into Contract Management System. • Retrieve information from various systems • Process quick closeout activity. • Other administrative duties as required. Required Qualifications • AA in a business or related field (preferred). • Background in acquisition support. • Strong computer skills. • Candidate must be US citizen with an active secret clearance. Position: Senior IT Security Analyst Location: Bethesda, MD Summary of Position Kent, Campa and Kate Inc. (KCK) is a federal contracting company that provides professional services to government agencies. We are currently looking for a Veteran, Family Member or qualified candidate to fill a Senior IT Security Analyst supporting Abt Associates. Position Description The Senior IT Security Analyst will support the Client Technology Center and clients in the execution of certification and accreditation (C&A), FISMA, and the completion of related deliverables. This position will be based in Bethesda. An additional focus will be to keep abreast of new laws and regulations and distill them into actionable plans. Duties/Responsibilities • Collaborate with clients on the full cycle of C&A. • Perform duties necessary for the successful completion of a certification and accreditation to include the management of SSP’s, POAM’s, and Risk Assessments. • Review and apply data security laws and regulations including FISMA, HIPAA, FERPA, COPA. • Teach and lead other team members through the successful certification and accreditation process. • Review contracts and proposals for security language and respond with recommendations, descriptions of compliance, and analysis of applicability. • Provide training on C&A regulations to other IT team members. Preferred Skills / Prerequisites • Deep understanding and knowledge of Federal government regulations (e.g. FISMA, NIST Special Publications and FIPS Standards (800-18, 800-37, 800-53)) • Be adept and experienced with FISMA Certification and Accreditation process • Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills and especially adept at delivering oral presentations. • Strong technical writing skills desirable. • Be self-reliant, competent with managing time and deadlines, and able to work collaboratively within a team. • Have a strong desire to learn new skills and technologies. Any of the following certifications would be preferred: GIAC, CISSP, CISM, SSCP, GSPA, CAP, CISA. Position: Paralegal Location: Washington, DC Summary of Position Kent, Campa and Kate Inc. (KCK) is a federal contracting company that provides professional services to government agencies. We are currently looking for a Veteran, Family Member or qualified candidate to fill Paralegal supporting the Security Exchange Commission. Position Description Paralegal. Enhances attorney effectiveness by developing case information, evidence, and settlement options; tracking cases; supporting attorney's trial proceedings. Duties/Responsibilities • Compiles, prepares, and summarizes relevant materials for use by attorneys in discovery and in preparation of motions, briefs and other legal documents; • Summarizes depositions and other transcripts; maintains case files; performs simple legal research; indexes, tracks and controls document discovery (including documents produced and received in discovery); indexes, tracks, and controls exhibits and other materials at depositions and at trial. • Prepares exhibit cross-references. Reviews documents for relevance and privilege according to established guidelines and criteria. • Other examples of the types of work to be performed include compilation of documents for FOIA, production requests, Congressional inquiries, etc. • May have a role involving special knowledge and skills, such as litigation, document analysis or accounting. Litigation specialty supports attorneys during trial, including courtroom locations. Is expected to work independently on tasks without the need for continuous input. Required Qualifications • Requires Paralegal Certificate and 2 years of experience in the required specialty, such as litigation, document analysis, or accounting. An equivalent level of legal training may be substituted for the Paralegal Certificate. • For litigation specialty experience in trial support, cite checking legal motions and memoranda, and automated litigation support is required. Must have and use excellent oral and written communications skills. • Requires thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS/NEXIS, CLEAR, Westlaw, Concordance or Recommind; experience documenting Table of Authorities, and Table of Contents. Role also requires knowledge of e-discovery procedures and resources. Ability to consistently deliver highest quality work under extreme pressure will be very important. • Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office 2010 or newer programs, and Adobe Professional, or newer program, to include redacting and redlining expertise. In addition, must have hands-on familiarity with a variety of computer applications, including databases (such as document review and file management systems), spreadsheets, and imaging.
