I’ve always been aware of the energy that’s all around us, but it wasn’t until I experienced my own health crisisin my twenties that I really began to take notice of it. While undergoing treatment, I explored multiple options and found that I was drawn to those which employed natural approaches and Spiritual work. After several years of research and my own treatment, I’ve learned to listen to my body. At the core, it’s simple, though we often don’t listen or simply find ourselves too busy to do so. That’s what happened to me. I allowed negative energy to sit within myself and minor issues became much more serious. Now, in addition to listening to my own body, I’ve began to channel that energy to help others. I’m currently expanding my knowledge and training in Reiki with the intention of helping people to relax and promote personal healing. The human body has a profound ability to heal itself; we just need to promote it. My goal is to partner with good people so that we can take the journey to good health together. What is Reiki? Reiki is a stress reduction and relaxation technique which originates from the island of Japan. A laying on of hands is used to reduce stress and stimulate healing by facilitating the flow of the body’s natural energy. A restriction or reduction in the flow of this energy can be associated with increased stress and health issues. An unrestricted flow of energy however, is associated with positive feelings and good health. In short, Reiki can benefit most conditions from emotional stress to chronic pain.
