Description

The building's origins date back to the early 1890’s when it was built by Mr. Alexander Ross on his property near Holbrook, situated just North of Albury, and was one of the busiest shearing sheds of it’s time at it’s peak. In 1988, the shed was transported to Thurgoona (Albury) where it was rebuilt using many of the original timbers and features. --- Location / Accommodation --- Being located only a couple of minutes off the Hume Highway and only a short drive from Albury Airport, the Kinross is ideally positioned for visitors coming from many different locations. While staying in Albury your group may be interested in the many other activities on offer in our Region. We are conveniently located close to Central Albury, Lake Hume Weir and within walking distance of the Thurgoona Golf Club. We are also surrounded by some magnificent scenic walking tracks which would provide a great escape from the demands of business after or before a long day. --- Meals /Functions --- Functions The Kinross Bistro is the heart beat of our operation. Big meals are our specialty and we are open 7 days for lunch from 12 till pm and dinner from 6 till 9pm. Our massive breakfasts are served Saturday and Sunday from 9am till 11:30am. The Woolshed is also an enormously popular function venue and provides an opportunity to celebrate an event in a venue that can provide, without having to alter the original appearance, a typically Australian theme with certainly one of the most relaxed atmospheres on the Border. Conference and function organisers also have the opportunity to hold their professional work or business functions with sound system, projector and other requirements available. The Kinross is a great venue for weddings, engagements, birthdays, reunions, conferences, meetings, seminars, product launches, exhibitions and many more functions and events and has the ability to cater for over 500 people. The Kinross Bistro can cater to all sorts of needs whether it be platters of finger food for a small group or a banquet for hundreds, our bistro staff will make sure you remember your dining experience.
