Description

Kristofer has spent many years in the health and fitness industry as a personal trainer and continued to advance in this field by completing his Advanced Diploma in Massage Therapy at Humber College. Throughout his education he had the opportunity to work with a diverse group of people, including: varsity athletes, pregnant patients, infants, diabetic patients, and many others from different age groups, backgrounds, and with a variety of presenting impairments. He is a life long athlete that has competed at the highest level in Ontario in athletic endeavours ranging from track and field all the way to natural (tested) bodybuilding. These experiences have provided him with an excellent understanding of body mechanics and a firm belief in the importance of addressing the body as a whole, rather than as separate parts. Kristofer believes in treating the cause of an issue rather than its symptoms in order to provide patients with effective and timely relief from their impairments. Kristofer believes in a thorough assessment process in order to create a individualised and focused treatment plan. Through the use of a variety of soft tissue techniques, joint mobilizations, and rehabilitative exercise prescriptions, Kristofer is determined to restore patients to pain free activity, and to improve further still upon their every day movement patterns. Kristofer is an active member with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO).
