Description
Kyokan Ju-Jitsu Club is a Martial Arts Club based in Newbold, Chesterfield which provides service to all the surrounding areas. We teach the highest standard of Self Defence using two distinct styles: Ju-Jitsu, an art which incorporates kicks, punches, joint locks, throws & pins alongside Kobudo, an advanced syllabus of specialist weapon training and defence. Our mission is to develop and build on your own self confidence through our training and teaching schemes, allow you to strive for that infamous and sought after black belt in a safe and fun environment. All classes are taught by Sensei R. C. Martin 3rd Dan in Ju-Jitsu and 4th Dan in Kobudo. Sensei Martin is a Club Coach within the Bushido Academies International with 12 years’ experience in Martial Arts and 6 years’ experience in teaching specialist clubs as well as in local schools. All clubs and instructors are fully insured and DBS checked through the Bushido Academies International and NAKMAS. Students pay an individual insurance and membership annually of £18 for juniors (Aged under 16 years) and £22 for seniors (Aged above 16 years). Students are generally taken from age 6 as a minimum, but please contact us to discuss individuals if you wish your child to attend prior to this age. Classes are generally run at £5 per session, but please contact us for details on monthly, family or other offers being held at the time. New martial artists and experienced martial artists are equally welcome, we learn by adaptation and interpretation, each person is an integral part in all of our students' learning processes.
