Everything from T-shirts to tea sets comes through the school's doors, and is offered to the broader community once a year at bargain prices. Shoppers all over the Northwest mark their calendars for this sale. The Parents Association supports the mission of Lakeside School by raising funds to further acaheemic excellence and help make the school accessible to a diverse audience; by building community among students and their families; and by aiding communication. Lakeside families work together year-round to donate, sort, prepare, and price items for our annual sale to the broader community. The mission of Lakeside School is to develop in intellectually capable young people the creative minds, healthy bodies, and ethical spirits needed to contribute wisdom, compassion, and leadership to a global society. We provide a rigorous and dynamic academic program through which effective educators lead students to take responsibility for learning. We love the blog "" -- and apparently they like us! "If you’ve ever been to a rummage sale this massive before, you know that it’s like, major league — and Lakeside is the all-star game. In terms of high-quality, gently-used goods, many from affluent households, it looks like the the Pismo Beach Disaster charity drive from Clueless times ten. The clothes are, of course, are plentiful, and often designer. Notably, though, the Lakeside Rummage Sale started me off on my Vintage Camera Problem when I found an original Instamatic in its original packaging with unused flash cubes for $5. Plus, you know, it’s good to support education, even for schools with tuition that costs more than a year at some colleges. They’re a good school that churns out smart kids — and 30% receive need-based financial aid to attend." Thanks, Seattlish! We like our sale, and our kids are pretty awesome, too.
