Lamees Attar-Bashi is an Iraqi Chef and Food Specialist ,Raised in the UK, her very first cooking experience was when she was only 11 years old where she baked ( with the help of her talented mother) her very first lemon cake. And Although Completing a Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering /Mechatronics non-the-less her passion for cooking continued to grow, The result of all of this was eventually starting her very own cooking page “Lamees’s Kitchen”( Link : https://www.facebook.com/LameeszKitchen) on Facebook which within only 3 months reached 8000 Followers, following her wining the 1st place in the Glad Live cooking show within UAE and completing it with her own cooking show on TV under my name " Lamees's dining Table " which airs in Ramadan on Al Sharqiya Channel. Lamees has various Certificates of cooking with many international Chefs along with a Diploma in Hot kitchen from ICCA (International Center for Culinary arts) which is accredited by City & Guilds London and recognized by the World Association of Chefs Societies and the Dubai Municipality. Lamees's Recipes can be found in many major Magazines like "BBC Good Food," " Abu Dhabi Weekly" " Ahlan Gourmet" "Zaafaran and Vanilla" " Beram and Tajine" When asked about her approach to food and cooking , her reply is simple : A lot of people are still not aware of Iraqi traditional food and how lovely our food is , I want a chance to show people how delicious they are and what a huge variety of food we have, plus being born and raised in the United Kingdom then moving back to my own country Iraq affected how i cook and how I approach cooking , combining food techniques between English cuisine and Iraqi cuisine is my signature hence you can find middle eastern cooking but with a British twist , not to forget about my love for food presentation ( and as they say : your eyes feasts first before your stomach ) , that’s why you will see all my dishes neatly presented whether being Middle eastern ,British or international. Enjoy لميس عطار باشي، شيف على التلفزيون العراقي وأخصائية غذاء. ولدت وترعرعت في بريطانيا، وقد عاشت خبرتها الأولى في مجال الطهي حين كانت في الحادية عشرة من العمر حين خبزت، وبمساعدة والدتها الموهوبة جدًا في الطهي، أول قالب كيك بالليمون. وبالرغم من نيلها إجازة في هندسة الكمبيوتر إلا أنّ شغفها للطهي وتحضير الطعام ما لبث أن ازداد. ونتيجة لذلك، ابتكرت صفحة خاصة بها على الفايسبوك، بعنوان "مطبخ لميس". وبغضون ثلاثة أشهر، بات لديها أكثر من 8000 تابع، وعقب فوزها بجائزة المرتبة الأولى في برنامج الطهي المباشر Glad Live الذي عرض في الإمارات العربية المتحدة، واستكمال مسيرتها في برنامج الطهي الخاص بها على "مائدة عشاء لميس" الذي عرض خلال شهر رمضان على قناة الشرقية. حازت لميس على عدد من الشهادات في مجال الطهي من طهاة دوليين ودبلوم في الطهي Hot Kitchen من المركز الدولي لفنون الطهي (ICCA) المعتمد من قبل City & Guild London ومن قبل الجمعية العالمية لمجتمع الطهاة وبلدية دبي. تنشر وصفات لمبس في عدد من المجلات الكبرى مثل "BBC Good Food"، والأسبوعية الصادرة من أبو ظبي "Ahlan Gourmet" و"زعفران وفانيليا" و"برام وطاجين". وحين سئلت عن مقاربتها للطعام والطهي، جاء ردّها بسيطًا: لازال الكثيرون يجهلون الطعام العراقي التقليدي ومدى روعته، ومن هنا، أسعى إلى الحصول على فرصة أبرهن فيها لهؤلاء الأشخاص مدى لذّة الطعام العراقي ومدة تنوّعه، أضف إلى ذلك أنني ولدت وترعرعت في بريطانيا، وقد أثرت عودتي إلى بلادي الطريقة التي أعتمدها في الطهي، فدمج تقنيات الطهي بين المطبخ الإنكليزي والعراقي هو ما يميّز أطباقي، فتجد طريقة الطهي الشرقية بنفحة بريطانية، من دون أن ننسى طبعًا حبي لطريقة تقديم الطعام، فكما يقال: تأكل العين قبل المعدة أحيانًا. لذا، أحرص دومًا على تقديم الأطباق بترتيب كبير سواء أكنت أقدم الاطباق الشرق أوسطية، البريطانية أو الدولية. لقد فقد الناس شغفهم بالطعام واستمتاعهم بتحضير الطعام وأريد أن أسعى إلى تعزيز حبّ الناس للطهي بواسطة الوصفات السهلة واللذيذة التي أقدّمها.
