Wow! Happy April 1st friends! I'm so happy to be shifting into spring! The trees are noticeably showing the change in season... Something to consider is how our bodies are also making this shift in season. Stinging nettle is a plant that can really help with adjusting our bodies into spring mode. Stinging nettle awakens your body into spring cleansing! I picked lots this past weekend and have been brewing up all sorts of things with this medicinal plant. When picked, you must protect your hands with gloves since it will give you a terrible rash if you're not protected. To make a tea from nettle, you simply make a giant pot of boiling water and add in the fresh nettle leaves and allow it to cook on low for 15-20 minutes. The needles dissolve away making it safe to consume. Nettle does wonders for people with allergies (thank you for great timing Mother Nature) and has many positive effects for clearing the skin and helping with blood circulation. It's also been shown to improve arthritis and inflammation. If anyone is wanting to try, either go forage your own as it's abundant for the next 2 weeks, or message me privately and I may be willing to share some of my brew with you! Happy Sunday friends! If you're going grocery shopping today, something to keep in mind when choosing items is this: If you pick up an item that's marketing is trying to convince you of how healthy it is, it's probably not. Instead look for short ingredient lists with short shelf life. Go for alive over dead.

A great way to choose your produce when shopping is to smell it before purchasing. Choose foods that smell alive. Look for vibrant colours and listen to the foods that are calling you.
