Description

My name is Laura, I live in Leicester Forest East with my husband Lee and two children, Maisie who is 4 ½ years old and Harry who is 7 ½ months old. They are both confident, happy, active, children. We play together and explore the world together. I aim to be a good teacher and an inspiration for them. I am a member of PACEY (Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years) and have full Public Liability Insurance, I am an Ofsted Registered child minder covering all aspects of the EYFS through indoor, outdoor, creative and messy play in the security of my home. I am a mother of two children who offers quality childcare in a loving family home along with a safe and secure environment. I have one child who be attending Stafford Leys primary school in September 2015 and one younger children along with a family fish. I believe that children thrive in a loving, nurturing environment, with opportunities for a wide range of play and activities. As well as singing and dancing sessions, painting, play doh, dressing up and a wide range of home-based activities, I also attend toddler groups and trips to the library. I regularly take children in my care for walks, to visit local parks and other places of interest. We are very lucky to have a number of lovely parks and child friendly venues within walking distance or a short drive away. Although I do prefer to get the children out and about in the pushchair or on foot, I have a full driving licence and my car is equipped with appropriate car seats, so we can enjoy trips to a wide range of local amenities. I love working with children, seeing them grow and develop, and since having my own children I am excited about my career in child-minding. With the knowledge and passion I have gained from my experience as a mum and I will provide a loving, caring and stimulating environment in which your child/children can flourish. I have plenty of toys and learning facilities for the children. I have a wide variety of toys and games for all ages and genders to enjoy. My facilities include a garden with a grassed area alongside a patio. I enjoy the great outdoors and will take your child/children to parks, woods and nature reserves whatever the weather permits. I'm a firm believer that children learn and develop best through play and experience. Although I provide aprons and cleaning facilities, your child will get messy! So please do not bring them in their best clothes. I have lots of resources and play equipment to help children of all ages with their developing needs. I have two wonderful children and years of experience working with my own children. All of my paperwork/certificates are available for you to see. NVQ 3 in Early Years Childcare Paediatric 2 in First Aid Risk Assessments Safe guarding I hold a full UK driver’s license and have my own car which will be fully insured for business use. I would ask parents to provide their own car seat for any trips out. In addition to the above my partner and I are regularly inspected by Ofsted and have completed an Enhanced CRB disclosure police check
