Welcome to Littleton Auctions In the early 1980's antique dealer and auctioneer Barry Homer opened Bell Court Auctions in Bidford on Avon and the lively local business continued with bi-weekly auctions for nearly twenty years. After Barry's death his son, auctioneer Martin Homer ran the business for over eight years. In 2011 Martin returned to the auction world and, along with his younger brother, businessman Stuart, launched Littleton Auctions located in the Worcestershire village of Middle Littleton. Their mission is to run fortnightly auctions accepting a combination of antique furniture and effects as well as quality modern lots and to provide a local and accessible service to vendors and buyers alike. Vendors are welcome to bring in goods during non-auction week - Monday to Thursday 9 till 5 (3pm on Friday) - for acceptance for the following Saturday week sale, unfortunately we cannot accept lots during auction week (unless pre-arranged). Please ring the auction room prior to bringing in so we can advise as to what does and doesn’t warrant entry and to confirm we have room. We are always happy to offer free estimates on items and can fix a reserve price on items over the value of £30 if both parties are happy. Our commission rates are very competitive at 16% (includes 1% guarantee) + V.A.T. plus a £2 + V.A.T. lotting fee per catalogued item. Vendor's payments become due 11 working days after the sale by either collection of cash from the saleroom or by BACS transfer directly into the clients account. Buying at one of our auctions is simple. On your first visit we will issue you with a unique bidder's number which is free and can be used for future auctions (I.D. required), you can then attend the sale in person, leave a commission bid, or, in special circumstances you may bid by telephone at the time of the sale. Our buyer's premium is just 15% + V.A.T. on the hammer price (minimum of £2.50 + V.A.T.). Our auctions take place every fortnight at 10am on Saturday mornings and usually finish around 1p.m. - although we are always here till 3p.m. on sale days. Viewing is strictly on Friday's from 10am to 7pm and from 8.30am on the day. We have ample parking and our licenced cafe is open for both light refreshments and alcoholic beverages on both viewing and sale days. Our office opening times are 9am to 5pm Mondays to Fridays (3pm on Fridays of non-auction week) and we are closed on non-auction Saturdays. We look forward to greeting you.
