A big thank you to Linda and John (our first point of contact at our home national league games at the entrance door) for nominating our U14 junior basketball team for a £150 donation from the Round Table Mad Dog 10k proceeds from the race. Linda and John entered the team into a draw for the donations and we were lucky enough to be drawn out as a winner. Once again thanks and the money will be put to good use for the junior players.

I would like to personally say a big thank to everyone that attended the Presentation night on Friday, I would like to thank everyone individually but that would take too long, but very quickly to all the people that helped make the evening run so smoothly, to all those people that participated in the races, to all the players, coaches, parents that helped make the night a success and a special thank you for Matty and Danny for the entertainment afterwards you are both stars in so many ways!! Further update on court floor upgrade - 25th August is a Bank Holiday, being the last Monday in August, so the floor work won't be starting until the Tuesday (26th) as we won't get access on the Monday!
A reminder to all - The Archbishop Beck Tennis & Community Centre is closing for a 2 week maintenance period from the end of this week (ie it will be closed from 15 thro' to 29 August). This will allow us to re-fix, clean & re-mark the basketball court so that everything is good for the new season. It will be quite a big operation & we intend to start on Monday 25 August. If you can spare some time to help, please let us know as volunteers will be welcomed. For news of training venues over this 2 week period, please keep checking-in & we will post information as & when it becomes available.
