Founded in 2013 and led by Artistic Director Charlie Ely, London Grey & Green Theatre Company is dedicated to provocative new writing, imaginative and varied performance techniques, and providing more roles for women on-and off-stage.

Description

Founded in 2013, London Grey & Green Theatre is an emerging theatre company dedicated to exploring the world around us through imaginative and varied performance techniques. We are interested in intelligent and provocative new work, whether devised or scripted, and are passionate about providing a platform for fellow young artists. We are also committed to producing work with at least 50% female representation on- and off-stage. We like lo-fi design and big spectacles. We love music and dance. Grey & Green have staged four successful productions independently: new full-length plays 'Princess Suffragette' by Subika Anwar-Khan (VAULT Festival 2017), 'A Sudden Burst of Blinding Light' by Ben Maier, (ZOO Southside 2015, Rosemary Branch Theatre 2014) and two week-long runs of new short plays at London fringe theatres: City Shorts (Rosemary Branch 2013), followed by City Slices & Country Crumbs (Hen & Chickens 2013). The company has also been invited to present work at two festivals: a promenade, physical theatre piece, The King of Cats (Secret Garden Party 2013), and two short plays, Magical Leon and The Vaudevillians, (Big Noise Festival 2014).
