ONE MONTH AWAY: The 2014 Long Beach Giving Project dinner and presentation ceremony will take place Sun., Mar. 23, at Bay Shore Church in Long Beach. Traditionally, about a dozen Givers will receive approx. $1,000 each and will be tasked to spend it all in just 7 days, helping those in Long Beach with great needs buy purchasing goods and services. The Project's director, Justin Rudd, will invite Givers to participate the week of Mar. 9. Givers are usually selected from among Rudd's Community Action Team volunteers. The money for the Project comes from the Long Beach Turkey Trot. DETAILS: www.JustinRudd.com/giving.html
