Can you imagine trying to clean a carpeted house without a modern vaccum cleaner? Instead of saying “I'm going to vaccum the carpet”, at one point in history some folks would say “the carpet needs a Bisselling”. Melville Bissell invented the carpet sweeper and patented it in 1876. If this were not interesting enough, when Bissell died from pneumonia in 1889 his wife, Anna, became the first female CEO of an American corporation. If your carpet needs repair, call Creative Carpet Repair at 800-656-9862. We'll come out at your convenience and have your carpet looking fabulous in no time! www.creativecarpetrepair.com
Chewing gum is advertised many ways. It is a candy, it can help clean teeth, and it freshens breath. None of those chewing gum commercials talk about chewing gum accidents, though! Well, if you find carpet in your carpet, press ice cubes against the gum until it becomes brittle and breaks off. Pick out what pieces you can with your fingers and then use a spot remover to get rid of the remnants. Another solution is to call Creative Carpet Repair at 800-656-9862. We'll come out at your convenience and have your carpet looking fabulous in no time! www.creativecarpetrepair.com
For the wine drinkers:] How to get Red Wine stains out of carpet This will even remove red wine stains from white carpet . The chal- lenge is to get some sunshine on the solution while it is drying . For this to occur, you may need to remove the carpet and lay it in the sun . I know someone who didn’t need to expose their carpet to the sun so try using the solution below first. 1 . Mix a solution consisting of two parts Hydrogen Peroxide to one part Blue Dawn dish washing detergent . The solution must be freshly mixed or it won’t work . 2 . Apply the solution to the stain . Get the stain fully saturated without soaking the carpet all the way down into the padding . 3. When finished, dry with a wet-vac, fan, or blow dryer .
If you leave a dog or a cat in a locked room they may try to dig their way out due to separation anxiety. When a dog or cat try's to claw their way out of a closed door, you will need a patch to repair it. If you have some extra carpet from the original installation I can use it for the carpet patch, if you don't have some left over from the carpet installation, I can take a piece from a closet or under a piece of furniture. The other gift that animals like to leave us is, well, let's just say it's nasty. When a dog urinates on a carpet you can often have the carpet cleaned and just replace the padding. When a cat urinates on a carpet you have no choice but to cut the urine stain out along with the padding and clean the floor below it. Cat urine will never stop stinking until you replace the carpet and pad. There are a couple of good products we can use to clean the wood or concreted floor under the carpet pad.
