Description

The Los Feliz Cooperative Nursery School (LFNS) is a place where teachers and parents work together to create a safe and loving environment that will ease the child's transition from home to school. Through our play-based program, LFNS aids the growth of the whole child. Children learn basic social skills and develop self-esteem in a group setting by having the opportunity to engage in plenty of free-play, as well as songs, stories, structured group work, outdoor activities, art, cooking, and movement. Children learn self-help skills, responsibility, conflict resolution and how to work well with their peers.

Our calendar closely follows that of the Los Angeles Unified School District (including the observance of holidays), beginning in September and ending in June. We also offer a summer school program for our membership that consists of plenty of water play and fun activities. Prospective families must first attend an Open House and submit an application.
