ABOUT US AND WHAT WE BELIEVE... •We are mother and daughter; both devoted to becoming DONA-certified birth doulas. •We are passionate Christ-followers, wives and mothers. •We feel so blessed to be called to this work and want, with all our hearts, to help women achieve the births they desire. •We believe that birth is a natural process, not a sickness that is cured by birth. •We believe that the moment of birth is not just the birth of a baby, but the birth of a brand new family. •We believe that you have the right to be an active participant in your own birth experience; that means being allowed to make informed choices about your practitioners, your birth setting, interventions (or lack thereof), attendees, etc. •We believe that partners are also invested in their child’s birth story and that they too need support. We do not, nor would we ever desire to, replace the loving assistance of your partner, only to enhance it. •We are here to serve you and your goals, regardless of our faith, our choices in our own births or our parenting decisions. We will never judge you or make you doubt your instincts. We know that you are strong and we want you to remember this time with joy and fulfillment. •We believe that the whole journey of pregnancy, birth and breastfeeding is nothing short of a miracle and has God's fingerprints all over it. •We can and will help you to self-advocate before, during and after your labor, but we cannot be your voice. •We do not take the place of a doctor or midwife.
