Catch 22 It is very difficult to get funding without a lease and we can’t get a lease without some funding in place. We have had several good places snatched away because we didn’t have funds in hand. We are ready to move in and get open. We still have our equipment: lights, board, curtains, track etc. We could open at least minimally. THEN we could apply for grants to do the final improvements. Did I mention? We have a $10,000 donation on hand just waiting to be used.

Our page is still up even though we don't own the place any more. Getting ready to do a fundraising video. Let us know if you would like to be in it or if you would like to write or produce one for us. Contact us with your bright ideas. carol

The Lowry Lab Theater is now owned by the St. Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists; the charter high school in downtown St. Paul. Theater Space Project; who built the Lowry Lab, is looking for a new location; We need 4,000 sf. high ceilings, cheap rent, etc. If you know of something let us know at: cschweickhardt@gmail.com. As soon as we find a new place we will let you know so you can come see the great shows that go on in our space no matter where it is. Carol Schweickhardt

Theater Space Project, (the organization that developed the Lowry Lab), is looking for enthusiastic people to help us take a community theater space to a whole new level, one that will fill the desperate need for small-production performance space in St. Paul. People who are excited about this wonderful opportunity, who can work as part of a team toward this goal, please message TSP here or on our organizational page. Board and volunteer positions available, you don't have to be in theater or in St. Paul to be part of this great opportunity to help a small theater space grow!

We have to move out of the Lowry Lab on Saturday. Could sure use some help. Starting at noon at the theater. RSVP and call if running late. The unloading from the theater won't take that long. Then we drive to All American storage at Snelling and Marshal to unload. Carol 651 468-9888

TSP is still looking for a good space to turn into a theater. 3-4,000 sf. Interested in finding a couple of organizations to partner with and buy a building maybe.

We are still looking for a new space. We are still at the Lowry Lab Theater through July. We hope to find somethign so we can be up and running by Sept. 1st in the new space. You would not believe how hard it is to find the right sort of space: tall enough, large enough, quiet enough, etc. Have looked at old warehouses with lead paint, absolute pits where the owner still want the going rate. One place we like a lot is for sale for only 300K. Anyone got that laying around? Carol scarol8@qwest.net
