Hi we are Steve and Lynsey, We have been childminding for seven years now and really enjoy it. Were married with two boys, one aged thirteen and the youngest aged four years! We have a main childminding room that is full of resources/toys for children of different ages and ability's and the front room is used as a quiet area for children who want to sleep or relax after school/do homework, We also have a downstairs disabled toilet and wetroom and wheelchair access at rear of our home, our rear garden is block paved with a animal mural on the wall with two basketball hoops (one low, and one high), outdoor whiteboard and chalkboards, lots of bikes, scooters, trikes footballs, sandpit, bouncy castle and other outside toys, we are currently having a wonderful outside water play tap installed also! We have been registered as a Childminder's for seven years and have cared for children from age 3 months - thirteen years. We care for each child individually and have cared for children with different needs, so have experiance of caring for children with Downs Syndrome, Spina Bifida, ADHD, Curvature of the Spine, Cerebal Palsy and also a child who was profoundly deaf and communicated through sign language. We provide lots of fun and intresting activitys and experiances for the children in our care relating to their individual needs and work within the EYFS (The Early Years Foundation Stage). We also provide fun sessions with a Dental Health Educator and Health Promotion Officer during school holidays which all of the children enjoy and look forward to! We are also accredited so can provide 15hours per week of nursery funded education for eligable 2 year olds and all 3-4 year olds. These hours can also be shared with another nursery/pre-school We also run Alphabet Mondays Playgroup at St John's Community Church, Rosmead Street, Hull - 09:30-11:15 term and school holidays, See Netmums Toddler Group page for further info We both have a Diploma in Home Based Childcare and Lynsey is currently studying towards a Level 4 childcare observations and planning at Hull University, we both have Paediatric First-Aid, Food Hygiene SafeGuarding children We also attend regular Childcare meetings and additional training by the Local Authority to keep our knowledge within childcare updated. We also have the Roy Castle Gold Air Award which means that our home is smokefree at all times even when no childminded children are present We are also Registered with Ofsted and both hold a 'Good' Grade We are available during term time and school holidays and bank holidays.
