Come on out to Bell Park tonight and tomorrow for the Northern Light's Oktoberfest!! Lots of great craft beers to try here. https://www.facebook.com/events/406690962874802/
Just an update on current club endeavors: We've ordered plastic steins which should arrive in a few weeks, and we will be selling these so you can receive discounted pints of local craft beer at hopefully a few locations around town. We're still working out the details. Some future events to look forward to: trivia night, porketta bingo, food and beer pairings. Fundraising activities like these are so that we may be able to afford to brew our very own batch during the winter term!
Hey everyone! We're very excited to announce our first meeting of the year. Join us at the Laughing Buddha at 7pm on Thursday this week (Sept. 24) for a meet n greet and to taste one/some of their many fine Ontario and International craft beers. https://www.facebook.com/events/875048329252456/ Join this event page if you're able to make it so we have a rough attendance estimate :) Thanks and see you Thursday!
LU Brewmaster member Nick Roscoe has ordered some new brewing equipment and plans on trying out a simple new amber ale recipe when it comes in, likely in the next few weeks. He's inviting a few interested individuals to his kitchen to observe the brewing process. Nick states that for anyone who hasn't brewed before, or who wants to try out their first "all grain" batch - this will be a simple brew to serve as a great overview of the steps and process involved! Please leave a comment below or message us if you're interested in participating. Further details will be announced soon. P.S. We will be holding our first general meeting/meet-n-greet next week. Details will be released today or tomorrow.
Hey LU Brewmasters! Club days are coming up this week, and the following week is when we'll hopefully be able to have our first official meeting to plan out this year's events. If anyone is available to take a shift at our table during club days to promote the club and collect the names and e-mails of interested individuals, that would be fantastic. Times and locations are the following: September 16th- 9:00am to 4:00pm in the Student Centre September 17th- 4:00pm - 7:00pm in the West Residence room 132 Reply below or send us a message if you're available; thanks so much in advance to anyone who can help out!
As the new school year approaches, not only are we looking for new members, but we're also looking for a few more dedicated individuals who are interested in an executive position with this club. If you're interested in volunteering your time to help this club function and grow, please send us a message or leave a comment below.
