Currently : $311 pledged of $5000 10 backers 59 days to run Not terrible for a "soft launch", but let's see some more pledges. Remember, with Kickstarter, you can't lose (I mean, unless I die of an aneurysm after the funding goal is reached, or something dumb like that, but it's not worth worrying about).
Got a note from the Kickstarter folks saying that it wasn't entirely clear what the objective of the campaign was. I thought I had specified pretty well…
We have just received a notification that our spot on The Crowdfunding Show, WUTV-29, Buffalo NY, is to air this Sunday at 11.30 AM. The message also says "July 1st", but that must be an error. So, if you have been considering making a contribution, please do it now, so that the TV viewers will consider this project viable & pledge in turn.
We apologize for the hiatus. I have been contacted by a TV production company in Toronto, which is interested in cooperating on crowdfunding the Luna City Mint. They are interested in contacting a few people for comments they can use on their show. If you are willing to be one of them, please leave a message for me so that I can pass on your information. They want "names, phone numbers, and e-mail addresses."
Things are looking good! $706 pledged of $5000 18 backers (average pledge $39.22) 56 days to run Keep up the momentum, & we'll definitely surpass the goal, unlocking all those lovely bonus levels.
Present status : $366 pledged of $5000 12 backers 58 days to run Let's try to bump that up over the weekend, shall we? And the National Space Society board meeting will be keeping me busy until Monday, but I'll be adding more content after that.
There have been expressions of interest in the silver medalets. Currently, the only silver options offered are in the silver Ike set ($75, limit 20) & "Ultimate Package B" ($500, limit 1) for the 2013 medalet, & the cased sets ($150, limit 10), "Choose Your Own Adventure" ($250, limit 2) & "Ultimate Package A" for the First Day medalet. So, is it worthwhile to increase the silver options? In other words, is the loss of exclusivity cachet going to hurt more than offering additional volume helps? I could, for example, drop the silver Ike set to $50, & offer the silver medalet alone at $20, making a 10:1 price ratio with the base-metal version. Would it also be worth adding a silver First Day option at $50 (same price ratio)? What about a First Day Cover option including silver, possibly at $100?
New Kickstarter project has been submitted. It's not 100% complete yet -- I'm still working on the video, but that can be added post-approval.
