The foundation of the academy is a commitment to teaching fundamental sports skills development and knowledge of the game. An equally important goal of the organization is to develop character, teamwork and sportsmanship in a fun environment. With a talented, experienced, and dedicated roster of volunteer coaches, the Sports Academy will enhance sporting experiences and love for the game in an environment of positive reinforcement and fun. The academy offers sport teams, individual training, and participation in sport camps and related activities. Dedicated to continuing education plans are in place to provide instructional classes and seminars for participants. The academy also has the privilege of uniting culturally diverse groups with the common goal of competing, learning and socializing. This aids in accomplishing the program’s ultimate goal which is to help instill in our youth the vital importance of hard work, fair play and racial equality. Another very valuable asset is the positive interaction that the academy will have with local schools, neighborhoods, colleges, city management and the business community.
