MAIN was established as a registered charity in 2002, We provide support to families affected by autism, mental health and other disabilities throughout the north east. Our diverse team has the skills, experience and motivation to offer first hand support and advice and most importantly - they care about the people they work with. MAIN provides short breaks, allowing the individual an opportunity to gain new skills, make friends whilst affording parents/carers a chance for a well-earned break. Our PA service gives the individual the opportunity to meet social care outcomes with our highly trained and experienced outreach team and our team of qualified teachers come from a background of experience working with individuals with additional needs and deliver accredited and non-accredited training programmes in autism and associated conditions at our bespoke training room in our premises in High Force Road, Riverside Park, Middlesbrough and also at the clients own venue throughout the UK. MAIN has 3 clear objectives: 1.To raise awareness of Autism and Asperger Syndrome within society. Educating and promoting the needs of those living with Autism and ensuring they are at the forefront of what we do. 2.To promote and advance the positive interactions of those living with Autism, encouraging adaptability and support in those around them. 3.To provide the tools needed in order to enrich the lives of those living with Autism in a creative and knowledgeable way. Understanding, interpreting their needs and advising on the forms of support they would benefit from.
