Farms are an integral part of a community and we are extremely fortunate to live in an area where this dying art is still being practiced. We want to bridge the gap between these farms and your table. We want to be able to suggest a cut of meat, how to prepare it and the best ways to enjoy it. Our shop, called MEat, is focused on 100% locally and humanely raised animals. No hormones, no antibiotics, all naturally raised animals without cages, free to roam. All of our products are raised by local farmers throughout Maine and New Hampshire who take pride in their work and who care about the well being of their animals.

It's getting chilly in the evenings which is the perfect reason to turn on the oven. Here are a few dinner ideas: - Stir Fry Beef is a great way to help you move through you veggies from a CSA or your own garden. - Short Ribs or Beef Shanks make a fantastic slow roasted stew. They love the slow cooker so you can throw them in before work and viola! Rook had a favorite recipe that we'll post on our blog shortly - Nothing quite says fall like duck. We have duck legs and breasts available along with some duck fat for you to make your own confit! We are constantly updating our case so please feel free to pop by and ask for a little direction. We are more than happy to make suggestions complete with a recipe idea!

Hi Folks! We have a few spots left open for this Sunday's butcher demo (Beef) as well as Sunday the 29th's LAMB demo! The lamb is going to be exciting as it's our first whole animal break down and it's the Sunday before Easter. Please call 207-703-0219 to make your reservation! These are the last few demos as we will be ceasing them for the late spring/summer!
