The British Toy & Hobby Association (BTHA) was established in 1944 to represent British toy manufacturers and to raise standards of practice in the toy industry. We want promote the value of play and to encourage more time to be dedicated to giving children the time they need to play.

The BTHA badge of membership is the Lion Mark which symbolises the member's adherence to the BTHA’s strict Code of Conduct covering the ethical and safe manufacture of toys, responsible toy advertising, a ban on toy counterfeiting, a commitment to improving sustainability and a commitment to promoting the value of all play.
