Description

When I left school I studied Performing Arts for 2 years. In my second year we did the production of the Wizard of Oz. Myself and a friend decided to do the makeup and special effects for it and contacted a media makeup teacher to learn how. I loved it and decided to do the full course. I learnt everything from tinting brows and lashes, photography makeup, prosthetics, body painting, theatrical and occasion makeup. During my time on the course I got a part-time job with the luxury Japanese cosmetics brand Shiseido. I absolutley love everything about this company from the makeup, admin,amazing facial massage to the most advanced skincare and high-tech consultations. After a year I became account manager in John Lewis, then after 4 years I moved to House of Fraser, Meadowhall to open up a brand new counter there. For the past 8 years I have done freelance makeup on a part time basis in between working full time. I have done mostly weddings and evening makeup. In May 2014 I decided to set up this makeup page as I had more free time after having my baby. It's been a great summer meeting lots of lovely ladies and being their makeup artist for all kinds of events from weddings to proms and nights out. Makeup for me doesn't have to look or feel heavy. Everyone is different and what may work for one, may not for another which is why I always listen to a clients needs and offer as much advice as I can. There are phases and trends with makeup and I always keep up to date with this and tailor it to each client. The best bit of advice I can give anyone is to look after your skin! Your face is your canvas. You have to see skincare as an investment, you only get one face so pamper it! For enquiries and bookings please private message me.
