Music is for Everyone! We are currently registering students for the 2014-2015 season. Making Music is a home-based music studio located in the West End of Halifax. We currently offer high-quality piano, voice and guitar lessons taught by instructors who are professional performers or who have a university degree in music. Whether you want to have fun learning a new skill, or would like a disciplined and serious approach we will tailor lessons to your individual needs. The mission of Making Music is to offer music instruction that complements each individual's learning style. In this way we aim to provide a service to anyone who wants music to be part of their life. Please call to inquire about our adapted music lessons for individuals with special needs as well as Music Therapy. Instructors have extensive experience preparing individuals for RCM exams and festivals. Voice and piano instructors teach beginner to grade 8 RCM, or university preparation. Guitar can be taught from beginner to professional/advanced/college levels. Instruction is also available in music theory, music history and appreciation as well as ear training. Most styles of music are taught. Vocal and guitar coaching sessions are also available. Special workshops including song writing, improvisation, group theory lessons, etc., are offered periodically. Please contact us to inquire. We offer music instruction and therapy to individuals of all ages and abilities. Rates for private instruction are $20 per half hour, $30 per 45 minutes or $40 per hour.
