A STRONGER CORE MEANS A STRONGER YOU :) Hello our aim is to work with women who are either planning on becoming pregnant, and/or once they have given birth... however long ago that was. Older women tell us this is just as relevant in later years and we enjoy working with a mix of ages. We started Mama Core after realising many of our mummy friends (us included!) were told "you need to re-engage your core" but didn't REALLY know what that meant! And so we began learning what that meant, which muscles were the "inner core" (ie not our abs - no crunches yay!) and gaining the necessary quals and insurance to begin sharing this info, and some fab exercises, with other mums. All the basic info on our classes is here while we are updating our website :) and please drop us a line if you have any questions about anything or any feedback you'd like to give. SESSIONS & CLASSES: We run one-to-one personal training sessions, small groups and drop-in classes in Brighton and the surrounding area. We're excited to be looking at venues further afield in the south east and London in the coming months. COSTS: One-to-one & small groups: - currently in Brighton & Hove, Lewes and the surrounding areas. - £30 per session for 45 mins (usually an hour once we've caught up!) and this can be split with a small group of friends - Location: near Brighton station OR Alive gym (central Brighton, has a creche) OR at your home... contact us if none of these will work for you as we aim to be as flexible as poss, we know juggling everything can be tricky. Drop-in classes: - various locations - contact us for classes in your area - prices differ depending on the centre MORE INFO ON OUR WORK: Pre-pregnancy: Our sessions are fun and focused, helping you prepare physically and mentally for pregnancy and labour. Learn how to engage and strengthen your core muscles including pelvic floor. Meet other mums-to-be. Sessions include general fitness and toning work, nutritional advice and simple meditations. Post-pregnancy: It doesn’t matter how long ago you had your child/ren, our sessions will help you to gradually re-engage and strengthen. You’ll feel more energised, get support with nutrition and a chance to chat with other mums after the group sessions. Mama Core will also help you to avoid back, hip and pelvic floor weakness in later life. As with pre-pregnancy we include nutritional info and simple, energising meditations... and usually a good chin-wag!
