All ages welcome to play this mixed sex sport which is similar to netball and basketball. Learn more: http://youtu.be/oc6mMOQczxs
Korfball is the world’s only true mixed-gender sport, with teams consisting of four men and four women. Manchester Warriors boasts success on and off the field with the club made up of expert coaches, talented players and great social members. We do not prescribe to a “one size fits all” approach and our squad includes players of all standards, shapes and sizes. As a club, we pride ourselves on catering for all types of players and we have ex-international players playing alongside people who have never played team sports before, as well as with basketball and netball players who fancied a change and have never looked back. Whether you are a sports enthusiast looking for a new challenge or someone that simply wants to meet new people and enjoy our regular socials, you are more than welcome to join us. We do not expect you to know anything whatsoever about korfball, so there is no need to be shy. Come along to a training session and have a go!

Some great results again this week for all 3 teams. Warriors 1 had a strong performance against Man City 2 in CEKL1 and won 27-6. Over in NWKL, Warriors 3 started the day off with a solid game against Man Uni 3 winning 13-2. Warriors 2 followed this game up with another great win and continued dominance over the league with a 23-4 win against Man Uni 2. It was great to see all players in NW league today helping out their opponents with coaching tips throughout, especially as many of them were only playing in their first or second game of Korfball ever. Excellent work Warriors. Let's see what next week brings, especially in the Warriors 2 v Warriors 3 game on Sunday!
All three teams are in action today: Warriors 1 take on Man City 2 in CEKL action. Can 1s build on their NW shield win and get back to winning ways in the league? Meanwhile Warriors 2 & Warriors 3 are in a reverse of last week's NWKL fixtures v Man Uni 2 & 3. Can top of the league 2s extend their goal difference? Currently +42 after 2 games! Can 3s get a second win of the season and continue their unbeaten start? More goals please! More wins please!
Some great results for us today in the NWKL. Warriors 2 were up first against Man Uni 3 with a final score of 30-2, followed by Warriors 3 vs Man Uni 2 and taking a 7-3 win in their first game of the season. Well played by all Warriors, but also well played by all the Uni players, many of who were brand new to korf!
Back to North West korfball league action today. Warriors 2 look to bounce back from yesterday's shield result and continue their league run in a match against Man Uni 3s. Warriors 3 start their league campaign against Man Uni 2s. Lets score some goals!
Warriors 2 suffered a hard fought competitive 11-12 loss against Manchester Hawks but Warriors 1 walked away 20-0 winners against Man Uni in the North West korfball shield quarter finals. Some great performances in there. #korfball
Big korfball weekend... big korfball day! Today is the NW Shield Quarter finals. 2s take on Hawks 1 in a battle of NWKL vs CEKL. 1s take on Man Uni 1, the reigning champions vs the youth. Big games and we're looking for big scores!
A big round of applause goes out to current Warriors Kev Jones and Mike Brayne, as well as former Warriors Jo Nash, Pete Quinn and Laura Blazey for all of their hard work in Maia representing Wales, Scotland and Ireland in the European Championships. You've all been amazing and done us proud...now to go have some beers and rest our voices from all this cheering!
In the quarter finals of the North West Korfball Shield reigning champions Warriors 1 have been drawn against Manchester University Korfball. Warriors 2 have been drawn against Manchester Hawks. #GameOn #Korfball

Haven't been to training for a while? Feeling Rusty? New to Korfball? With the season quickly approaching and both leagues starting up again in October, now is the time to head on down to training to brush up on your skills, or to start learning how to korf. To help get everyone feeling confident as we enter the new season, training will be 3 hours for a bit longer and will include drills to help out with agility and shooting plus loads of game time. Hope to see you at Barlow High tonight at 7!
Summer training commences tomorrow evening (8th July) from 8pm-9:30pm at Barlow High School. Time to work off all of those summer ciders and nibbles that you've been indulging in whilst we've been off!
All in all a great day for Warriors...beating out rivals Man City to win the inaugural Preston Tournament and some current and former Warriors shining as they rep their countries down in Croydon...all with the sun shining!
Don't show up to training tonight as we won't be there! We will however be at The Woodstock working our brains hard with the quiz. Training resumes as normal next Tuesday :)
